Department of General Psychology

The Department of General Psychology started its operation in 2013 at PPCU. We teach general psychology at the BA level, and cognitive psychology at the MA level. Our faculty is also engaged in the  Laboratory for Psychological Research.

Kovács, Ilona

PhD, habil, corresponding member of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences,  Head of the Laboratory of Psychological Research. Teaching general psychology at the BA level, and cognitive psychology at the MA level. Research topics include: typical and abnormal cognitive development, sleep and skill learning.

Gerván, Patrícia

PhD, Assistant Professor, teaching general psychology at the BA level, and courses in English. Research topics: developmental disorders of genetic origins; development in adolescence.

Hudák, Mariann

PhD, Assistant Professor, teaching general psychology at the BA level. Research topics: the basic mechanisms of visual perception and the clinical importance of its dynamic processes. 

Soltész-Várhelyi, Klára

Assistant Lecturer, teaching statistics. Research topics: advanced statistical and data processing methods in the field of psychological research; microstructure of sleep, cyclic alternating pattern and its connection with intelligence.
