Jean-Luc Marion, member of the French Academy, professor of Université de Sorbonne Paris-IV and the University of Chicago, is one of the most significant contemporary thinkers of French philosophy. His most notable works are: "Dieu sans l'être" (1982), "Réduction et donation. Recherches sur Husserl, Heidegger et la phénoménologie" (1989), "Étant donné. Essai d'une phénoménologie de la donation" (1997).
