At the end of January the application for the scholarship programmes launched by the Hungarian government closed. We are glad to see an increasing number of foreign students expressing their interest in the programs offered by Pázmány Péter Catholic University, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences. Based on the applications submitted, Stipendium Hungaricum enjoyed a 25% increase in the number of applicants (compared to last year's figures), rising to a total of 590. Under the Scholarship of Christian Young People scheme, our Faculty tops the list with 94 applicants. The Hungarian Diaspora Scholarship for young expat Hungarians has attracted 5 applicants – the latter being announced for the first time. The figures show results well above those for the previous year, and impressively demonstrate the attractiveness of the courses offered at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences. The selection process is underway but we very much look forward to welcoming our new students in Autumn 2021.
