Summer School students visited the historical town of Esztergom

2016.08.31.

The Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences of Pázmány Péter Catholic University offers a unique summer experience for those international students who are interested in Hungarian language and culture. We are really happy that so many foreign students chose to spend the last weeks of summer with us: we welcomed 10 students from Erasmus partner universities and 10 other students from the Yerevan State Pedagogical University.

Apart from the exciting lectures, our participants had the opportunity to take part in some on-sight training. They visited the historical town of Esztergom, where they met fellow Archaeologist Summer School students and visited an excavation site together. The 60 students also took part in the EszTör Days (Esztergom Historical Days) which is a colourful festival aimed at celebrating the rich historical past and vivid traditions of the former Hungarian capital city. Balázs Major, Head of the Department of Archeology of PPCU and Gábor Ulakcsai, Head of the International Office were also present at the festival, where they thanked the hospitality of the Mayor of Esztergom and the organisers.

Everyone had a great time:
