In January of 2016 Taiwan nominated its first female president in the country's history. Tsai Ing-wen isn't the offspring of a political dynasty, which is quite exceptional, and shows real development in the democratic system in Taiwan. In this lecture Ms. Chou will point out the role of women in society's movements and politics in Taiwan. After the lecture the audience is welcome to raise thought provoking questions.
