Both the Hungarian Shakespeare Commission and the European Shakespeare Research Association have appointed our academics to their boards.

In the autumn of 2023, the Hungarian Shakespeare Commission held a renewal meeting, and as a result of the secret ballot, Zsolt Almási, Associate Professor, who had previously served as the Secretary for a decade, became the new Chair of the Commission, Veronika Schandl, Associate Professor, became the new Secretary of the Commission, and Gabriella Reuss, Habilitated Assistant Professor, was elected as a member of the Board. The outgoing Secretary of ESRA (European Shakespeare Research Association) will be replaced by Kinga Földváry, habilitated Associate Professor, from January 2024. The new responsibilities confirm the good response of the ESRA conference this summer in the domestic and international research community, the high quality of the event and the performance of the members of the Research Group so far, which has clearly contributed to the confidence of the professional community in our colleagues with such responsible mandates.
