Mónika Andok's English-language study examining content filtering in the digital world with a religious slant has been published. Media content can be filtered in two ways: by the creators themselves (gatekeeping) and by the recipients (filtering). In this comprehensive study, the author focuses mainly on the phenomenon of the filter bubble, the research done so far on this phenomenon and its relevance in religious content and communities. Based on the Catholic Church's Towards Full Presence, Pastoral Reflection on Engagement with Social Media 2023, the article presents the advantages and disadvantages of using social media and the Church's proposals for navigating the digital world.
