I, Sousik Sousani, was born in Aleppo, Syria on the 3rd of February, 1967. After completing my secondary education at L.Najarian C.Gulbenkian High School, I was accepted into the Faculty of Arts at the Yerevan State University, where I studied from 1988 to 1994, attaining certification as a ‘Philologist, Teacher of Armenian Language and Literature’ and was later awarded with a Master Arts ‘Philology’.

In October 1994, I was invited to teach Armenian Language and Literature at the L.Najarian C.Gulbenkian and Giligian High Schools in Aleppo. While holding a teaching position at the L.Najarian C.Gulbenkian High School, I prepared and published Armenian Grammar Text Books for grades between A-Z.

I have also taken part in the Aleppo Hamazkaine Armenian Studies tertiary course as a lecturer. I have been invited as the Keynote speaker to Literary evenings organized by various Armenian Institutions. I settled in Budapest, Hungary in 2003. In 2008, I assumed the role of an Armenian Teacher at the Budapest Community Saturday School. Since 2008, I have been the editor and host of the Hungarian Armenian Radio Program. I have been the editor of Hungary’s ‘Armenia’ monthly newspaper since 2012. Furthermore since 2010, I have been lecturing at the Ca Foscari University in Venice, Italy for the ‘Intensive Summer Course of Armenian Language and Culture’.

I am fluent in both the Western Armenian and Eastern Armenian dialects, Arabic, English, Turkish and I am competent in Hungarian․
