Please, tell us about yourself. Where are you from, what is your major, and what do you study here? Anything, that you think could be important.
My name is Tchouzou Ngami Sandrine. I’m a Cameroonian and I live in Italy where I study since one year in the University for Foreigners of Perugia. I’m doing a master degree in Italian language for the teaching to foreigners.

Why did you choose to come to Budapest and Pázmány?
I choose to come to Budapest and precisely at the Pázmány University, firstly because of my friend’s experience last year and secondly because I wanted to practise and meliorate my English. As I said, my friend told me a lot of good things about Hungarians and about the teachers in Pázmány, I come here to live it by myself.

How do you like Pázmány Péter Catholic University so far?
I really appreciate the Pázmány University by the way courses are structurated, I mean there are theorical and seminary courses, and the kindness of the teachers and the responsible of the International Office.

Do you enjoy studying here?
Yes, I do. The major part of my classes are seminary, and I really appreciate seminary courses and the way teachers explain the lesson and interact with students.

Is this your first time in Budapest? Have you travelled a lot?
Yes, this is my first time to Budapest and also the first time I go out of Italy. So I didn’t travel a lot.

How much information did you have about Hungary before?
I had many informations about Hungary before. That the Hungarians are very kind and welcoming people, that the country and specially Budapest is beautiful, that the travel pass are very cheep for students.

What were your first impressions here?
I was very marvel and very happy to notice that everything that my friend told me before was true.

Have you tried any typical Hungarian dishes or drinks? How do you like them?
Not yet.

Do you miss anything from your hometown?
Yes, I miss everything of my hometown. Foods, drinks, the climate, the dialect and so on.

Are you content with the programmes and social events the university organizes for international students?
I have never attended any program here.

Have you learned any Hungarian words yet?
Yes, I have learned how to say good morning (szia), thank you (köszönöm), salt (só), and the days of the week.

What is a goal of yours?
I’ll like to become an Italian language teacher after my gradution or do a training to become a psychoterapist.
