She began her studies in Near Eastern Studies at American University in Cairo. She obtained her degree at Eötvös Loránd University in art history, English, and Arabic.
Her current teaching focuses on the medieval Muslim and Christian architecture and minor arts of the Near East, with additional attention to Armenian regions.
