Yerevan hosted the third Post-Socialist Memory in Times of Crisis and Speculation
(PoCoMoS 2026) conference from January 22 to 24. Organized by anthropologist Gayane
Shagoyan and YSU researcher Alexander Aghajanyan, the international gathering brought together
120 scholars from 82 institutions worldwide to examine how memory survives, transforms, and
confronts new challenges amid crises, ongoing conflicts, and digital disinformation. 

The Department of Armenian Studies invites prospective applicants to apply for the three-year BA and two-year MA programs in History with specialization in Armenian Studies.

Between 7th and 9th November the students of the Armenian Studies Department visited Kalocsa, Baja, Hajós and Szeged. 

The Department of Armenian Studies at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences of Pázmány Péter Catholic University (PPKE BTK) organized a highly successful summer school on ethnic and religious minorities in Georgia from June 28 to July 2. Students from nine countries participated in the program, titled Pluralism in the South Caucasus: Religious and Ethnic Minorities in Georgia.
