"One Belt And One Road" in My Eyes - Essay and Speech Contest

I. Brief introduction of the contest

The purpose of the "One Belt And One Road" in My Eyes Essay and Speech Contest is to provide Hungarian college students with an opportunity to share their own fabulous stories with "One Belt And One Road" and create a platform for communication and exchange of ideas. In order to enhance the understanding of the "One Belt And One Road" and gain better promotion and inheritance of the "One Belt And One Road" initiative, the Contest is organized by the ELTE Confucius Institute, supported by other Confucius Institutes of Hungarian universities, and sponsored by the Chinese Embassy in Hungary.

II. Topics of the contest

Based on the theme of "One Belt And One Road", various fields of topics can

be chosen: business and trade, humanity or culture, Chinese traditional medicine,
etc.

Hungarian College Students under 35 years old

VI. Date and time arrangement of the Contest

July 10 - September 10, 2018: The contestants should submit the English Speech drafts (including the audio files of the draft) to the email of the director of ELTE Confucius Institute: liqikeng@bfsu.edu.cn, and CC to the Education Office, Chines Embassy in Hungary: studyinchina.hu@gmail.com. The deadline of submission of draft and audio file is September 10, 2018.

October 1, 2018: The judges will select 15 excellent contestants to participate in the speech contest. Both excellent contestants and other participating contestants who have submitted the speech drafts will be informed about the time and precautions of the final Contest.

October 18, 2018: the Speech Contest

① 12:00: Lunch (Bento box lunch)
② 12.45-13.00:Draw lots; photographing
③ 13.10: Opening ceremony

His Excellency Duan Jielong, Chinese Embassador to Hungary;
Prof. Dr. László BORHY, the Rector of ELTE etc.

④ 13.30: Contest Part 1: Speech (3-5 mins)

Part 2: Questions (3 mins)

⑤ 16:30: Marks calculation; announcement of the results
⑥ 16:40: The judges' comments; the Prizes Awarding

(The First, the Second and the Third Prizes will be selected and other participants who submitted their drafts will be offered the Participation Awards)

⑦ 17:00 Awarding ceremony; photographing

⑧ 17:30 Reception
