This is a very prestigious award as it is the first year that the Irish Embassy Bursary Programme is running in Hungary. The Awards Ceremony took place on March 17 (St. Patrick's Day) at the Akadémia Klub, Hungarian Academy of Sciences. In attendance was the Minister for Arts, Culture and the Gaeltacht, Republic of Ireland, Mr. Aodhán Ó Ríordáin, and the Irish Ambassador to Hungary, H.E. Mr. Kevin Dowling. Representing the Hungarian Government was the Deputy State Secretary Gergely Prőhle.
