you are kindly invited to the public speaking competition of the English Department at Pázmány Péter Catholic University. The competition includes the local heat of the English Speaking Union's International Public Speaking Competition, and will be held in Ambrosianium 129 at 12:00 February 28.

Post-event report:

On February 28 the English Department organised a public speaking competition, on the theme "Imagination is more important than knowledge." The winner was Zsófia Podlovics (BA) with her talk on the role of literature in her life. The competition was also the local heat of the International Public Speaking Competition of the English Speaking Union (http://www.esu.org/programmes/schools/after-leaving-school/international-public-speaking-competition). Our representative speaker at the Hungarian final on March 28 at the British Embassy was Zsófi Medgyessy (BA), with her speech on Mickey Mouse. Read her report here and here on EDZine.
