'Global Diplomacy' is a joint series of educational and academic events hosted by the Hungarian Institute of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The events cover global issues which require novel scientific, political, and diplomatic solutions, such as water, climate change, energy, or epidemics. Lectures are delivered by renowned scholars of the field. Those wishing to participate should registrate in advance by the organizing institution.

As an elective subject, the series also provides students with experience in new approaches which are not discussed during curricular courses, and gives an opportunity to become familiar with the most important institutions in the area, including their staff and experts.

Assessment is based on a term paper completed at the end of the semester.
