The Department of Political Science (PPCU) cordially invites everyone to its next event in the series "Key concepts in politics," a public lecture by Professor András Karácsony (Eötvös Loránd University, Budapest) on October 16, 2013: "The Concept of the Political: A Conservative Reading."
The aim of the lecture series "Key concepts in politics" is to discuss political concepts with regard to their influence on contemporary Hungarian and European political thought, political practice, and political culture. Since a certain kind of vagueness is a primary (and perhaps ineliminable) feature of these concepts, the aim is not to provide final definitions or fixed semantic contents, but to grasp the "spirit of the age" in an either descriptive or normative sense, taking contemporary Hungarian and European context as a point of departure.
Speaker: Professor András Karácsony, Vice Rector of the Eötvös Loránd University, Budapest.
Date: October 16, 2013, 14:00pm.
Location: PPCU Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Piliscsaba, Ambrosianum, Room 213/B.
