In recent weeks, Hong Kong, the former British colony appears on the front pages of newspapers from all around the world. Many fear that the ’Umbrella Revolution’ might have a similar end as protests on Tienanmen Square had in 1989. In this next PEACH event two China-researchers will explore the historical roots and the likely consequences of the current situation.
