The long term, bilateral scientific cooperation wishes to enhance joint research activity on the fields of the early history of the Hungarians and the Middle Ages.

The agreement covers the disciplines, fields of research concerned with the themes designated and cultivated within the framework of PPCU and the Hungarian Academy of Sciences, Research Centre for the Humanities, focused with special regard on research conducted in the field of archaeology. The two institutions are to cooperate in national and international research projects, and aim to cooperate in the applications entitled to execute these entities. The agreement also stresses a special emphasis on the cooperation referring to instruction and training work at the university. The document regarding the scientific cooperation is in close accordance with the fact that the PPCU gained its Quality of Excellence status in 2013.
