Our New Venue at Esztergom

2014.01.16.
The Department of Archaeology was enlarged with a significant set of infrastructural background at the beginning of 2014.

A fully equipped/furnished 2-room research premises (with separate areas for storage) in the Iohanneum building complex of the PPCU in Esztergom was given to us by the Faculty, as well as two individual buildings that can be utilized as our excavation bases.

The latter are equipped besides the work spaces with bathroom-shower facilities, and a furnished dormitory that is at the disposal of the students throughout the year. The final furnishing and establishment of research life there is being done under the guidance of our lecturer Robert Kalácska. We will soon be sending you further notice about the developments and the date of the official opening ceremony. Right now, just let me express our thanks to the students who have actively participated in cleaning up our new home.

Head of Department
