With a big storm and a little opening ceremony the 14th Erasmus Intensive Language Course has begun at the PPCU’s Faculty of Humanities.
The 23 participants are from many countries: Austria, Estonia, France, Germany, Holland, Italy, Poland and Spain. In this academic year, they will learn at various universities of Hungary as Erasmus students but in these three weeks they are learning the Hungarian language specifically. The other aim of the course is to give students an idea about Hungarian culture and to acquire new relations for their stay in Hungary. This program entails lectures on various aspects of Hungarian culture (e.g. history, gastronomy, architecture, film and politics) and fieldtrips to sites of historic and cultural significance apart from the intensive language course.
Their first gastronomic experience was “paprikás krumpli”.
