Mesterséges intelligencia és az Ember Kutatócsoport
2025
A kutatócsoport 2024 késő őszén alakult (77/2024. (XI. 20.) számú határozat) a Pázmány Péter Katolikus Egyetem Bölcsészet-és Társadalomtudományi Karán. Ám tagjai között az egyetem mind a négy kara képviselteti magát. Ez is jelzi azt az interdiszciplináris megközelítést, melyet a kutatócsoport vall. A mesterséges intelligencia gyors fejlődése etikai, társadalmi, technológiai, jogi és nem utolsó sorban teológiai kérdéseket vet fel, amelyek különösen relevánsak egy katolikus egyetem számára. Az MI hatása az emberi méltóságra, szabad akaratra, morális döntéshozatalra és a közösségi kapcsolatokra olyan témák, amelyek napjainkban megkerülhetetlenek. Egy katolikus egyetem küldetése, hogy az emberi személy méltóságát és a társadalmi igazságosságot előmozdítsa, így az MI hatásainak vizsgálata e perspektívából elengedhetetlen.

Artificial Intelligence and the Human Being Research Group
2025
The research group was established in late autumn 2024 (Decision No. 77/2024 (XI. 20.)) at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences of Pázmány Péter Catholic University. At the same time, all four faculties of the university are represented among its members. This clearly reflects the interdisciplinary approach embraced by the research group.
The rapid development of artificial intelligence raises ethical, social, technological, legal, and not least theological questions, which are particularly relevant for a Catholic university. The impact of AI on human dignity, free will, moral decision-making, and communal relationships has become unavoidable in contemporary discourse. As one of the core missions of a Catholic university is to promote the dignity of the human person and social justice, examining the effects of AI from this perspective is indispensable.
