The 2021 ICSH conference was organised by the Hungarian Research Institute for Linguistics in cooperation with the University of Pécs. One of the chief organisers was Head of DSL Balázs Surányi, and the conference programme included papers by Tamás Halm ("Want, unconditionals and scalar particles: The sources of free choice items in Hungarian") and Lilla Pintér and Balázs Surányi ("Revisiting children's difficulties with the exhaustivity of focus: The role of the question under discussion").

One of the invited speakers was Professor Emerita Katalin É. Kiss.
