Program Description: Generously funded by Saint Louis University Emeritus Chairman of the Board of Trustees J. Joseph Adorjan, the Adorjan Scholarship Program promotes the exchange of students between Saint Louis University (SLU) and Pázmány Péter Catholic University (PPKE) in Budapest. The Scholarship provides funds towards the costs of attending Saint Louis University at the St. Louis, Missouri, USA campus for one semester or academic year for qualified Hungarian students through the SLU-PPKE exchange program.
A minimum of one scholarship will be awarded each academic year, alternating between students nominated by the Faculties of Humanities and Social Sciences and the Faculty of Law at PPKE. For the 2016-17 academic year, the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences will nominate a candidate for the scholarship. Additional scholarships may be announced as available. Previous awards have varied between $2,000 and $10,000.
Interested students should apply for the Adorjan Scholarship through the contact in the appropriate Faculty of PPKE, which will nominate candidate(s) to the Saint Louis University Center for International Studies and should also apply for participation in the SLU-PPKE exchange program through SLU’s international student admissions process.
Eligibility: Student must be full-time students working towards a degree at Pázmány Péter Catholic University who have completed at least 2 semesters of university study and are eligible for admission to Saint Louis University.

Criteria: The criteria for selection will be academic achievement, preparedness to study in the United States at SLU, language ability (English required), recommendations of faculty, and application essays.
