The lecture will focus on the different aspects of the evolution of India’s foreign policy. In doing so, the lecture will address the interplay and interaction of different factors at global, regional, and domestic levels. The discussion will be based on understanding the Constructive Engagement approach by analysing Normative-Pragmatic Balance in India’s Forreign Policy and engagement with the world. In the process, certain pertinent questions will be addressed: How has India’s foreign policy evolved over the years? What are the factors at the three levels that have a bearing on the nature of India’s foreign policy? Are there any visible changes in India’s foreign policy?
